The Gay Rights Movement offers insight and information on gay and lesbian history and culture through the archives of two influential organizations: The ttottachine Society of New York ond the Gay Activists Alliance.

This collection offers students and researchers access to unique materials, which have been filmed from the holdings of The International Goy Information Center Archives ond published with the cooperation of the Manuscripts and Archives Division of The New York Public library.

These comprehensive materials will interest students from many disciplines — literature, history, sociology, philosophy, religion, political science, law, fine arts and gender studies. Including organizational papers, minutes of meetings, memoranda, comprehensive internal and general correspondence, and extensive ephemera, the collection is representative of the diversity and eclecticism of the early gay rights movement.
