This month’s cover features a poster from the UnMade in Cuba: Carteles de Cine exhibit at the William & Mary Libraries. Designed by Jorge Perugorría, the poster brings together three renowned figures in Cuban culture.

Tomás Gutiérrez Alea is a highly acclaimed director whose masterpiece, Memories of Underdevelopment, is considered among the world’s top 100 films of all time. Alejo Carpentier is the author credited with introducing Magical Realism in Latin America. Finally, Perugorría is an accomplished film actor, film director, and painter.
