Vol 75, No 2 (2014)

Cover Page
This month’s cover features a photograph of two unidentified individuals at the entrance of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Anderson County, South Carolina, in May 1941. African American places of worship figured prominently in everyday rural life in the Carolina Upcountry. This photograph, one of more than 12,000 images produced by the Clemson Extension Service at Clemson University, and held by the University Libraries, documents the history of diverse agricultural practices that exemplified the region for more than five decades. The Land Grant mission of Clemson University delivered the latest research and information to farmers and farm families.

The image is part of the Documenting the Clemson African American Experience collection. Visit http://bit.ly/1abL8Bw for more information.
