Peter Hernon, professor in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Simmons College, is the 2008 ACRL Academic/Research Librarian of the Year. Hernon is recognized for his substantive body of research in the areas of customer service quality, library leadership, assessment, and government information issues, along with his distinguished record of service to the profession.
