This month’s cover features an etching titled “Porch Scene” by printmaker Paul Kucharyson. The image is held in the Case Western Reserve University Works Progress Administration: Prints of the Federal Arts Project collection. This project was part of the 1935 United States Work Progress Administration effort to help the unemployed by hiring them for public works projects. The Federal Arts Project employed 350 Cleveland artists.
