Artist Wendell Minor created this poster for the 13th edition of the Miami Book Fair International, an eight-day celebration of the written word taking place at the Wolfson Campus of Miami-Dade Community College, November 17-24, 1996. More than half a million visitors are expected to attend the multicultural extravaganza, which features more than 250 authors, nearly 300 exhibitors, and stimulating panel discussions. Other events include a Children's Alley of storytelling and games; an Epicure Row of famous chefs sharing their culinary secrets; and a Street Fair of costumed characters, street performers, and strolling minstrels.
