Artist Kenny Scharf created this poster for the 12th edition of the Miami Book Fair International, an eight-day celebration of the written word tak­ing place on the downtown Wolfson Campus of Miami-Dade Community College, November 12-19, 1995. More than half a million visitors are expected to attend the multicultural extravaganza, which features more than 225 authors-includ­ing Anne Rice, Gloria Steinem, and Caroline Kennedy-nearly 300 exhibitors, and panel dis­cussions on topics such as "Chinese Writers in Exile" and "Granta on the Family." Other events include a Children's Alley of educational activi­ties, an Epicure Row featuring famous chefs dern­onstrating their techniques, and a Street Fair open to the public.
