Artist Nury Ducasi created this poster art for the 1993 Miami Book Fair International held at the Miami-Dade Community College Wolfson Campus, Florida, from November 14-21. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the fair includes the participation of nearly 200 authors annually, 300 national and international exhibitors selling or displaying books, and over 500,000 visitors. Events at the fair include: a Congress of Authors featuring readings, lectures, and panel discussions; an International Exhibition of Booths; a Spanish Program focusing on Hispanic authors; an Epicure Row with chef/authors giving cooking demonstrations; a Children's Alley of fun and educational activities; and an Antiquarian Annex exhibiting and selling rare and out-of-print books.
The fair is supported by foundations, state and county grants, and private sector corporate contributions. Miami-Dade Community College Wolfson Campus is a founder and main supporter of the fair.
