"Kaa Nun Der Waaguinse Zoo" or "The Berry Picker, A Chippewa" is one of the images found in The Aboriginal Portfolio, Or, A Collection Of Portraits Of Tbe Most Celebrated Chiefs Of Tbe North American Indians by James Otto Lewis (Philadelphia: J. 0. Lewis, 1836). The Library at the University of California (UC), Berkeley acquired this landmark publication as its 9- millionth volume (for the story behind the acquisition, see page 890).

The work is housed in The Bancroft Library, the primary rare book and special collection library at UC Berkeley. Hubert Howe Bancroft, a San Francisco publisher, amassed a world-class collection of rare and unique scholarly resources on the history of California and the American West, which the UC Berkeley acquired in 1905. These materials serve as the core of the Bancroft Collection of Western Americana.
