This month’s cover features Santa Rosa Junior College instructor “Bud” Bruner on right with student in an electronics defense class in 1942. Bruner was a prominent radio expert in Santa Rosa for a number of years. The course in radio instruction lasted for 12 weeks and included 48 hours each week. The purpose of the course was to train radio technicians for the United States Army Signal Corps. There were 17 men enrolled, and they received a salary of $135 a month while in training.

The archives serve as a repository for the historical records documenting the founding and evolution of the college, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2018.
