Meet the ACRL presidential candidates
The ACRL Presidential Candidates Forum and Reception will be hosted by the ACRL Chapters Council on Saturday, January25,1992, at 8:00 p.m. during the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio. ACRL presidential candidates Barbara Wittkopf, reference librarian, Louisiana State University, and Thomas Kirk, college librarian, Berea College, will make presentations and answer questions. The reception immediately following the forum is sponsored by Ebsco Subscription Services.
Visit ACRL booth at Midwinter
Stop by the ACRL booth (#609) during Midwinter and pick up the latest information on the ACRL Sixth National Conference in Salt Lake City. A member of the Utah Convention and Visitors Bureau will be on hand to answer your travel, vacation, and skiing questions. (April is still ski season in Utah.)
Information on ACRL products and membership services will also be available at the booth. Your ACRL colleagues from Texas will be staffing the booth and will be glad to answer your questions about San Antonio and ACRL.

What is ethical conduct?
Be sure to save time to attend the hearings on the draft “Standards for ethical conduct for rare book, manuscript, and special collections libraries and librarians.” The hearings will be on Saturday, January 25, 1992, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. during ALA’s Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio. This draft second edition was prepared by ACRL’s Rare Books and Manuscripts Section’s Ethical Standards Review Committee, chaired by Beverly P. Lynch, UCLA. A copy of the proposed standards appeared in the December 1991 C&RL News.
Academic Status Committee to hold open forum
The ACRL Academic Status Committee Think Tank “Faculty Status: 2001” will be sponsoring an open forum for discussion at 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, at the Marriott River Center, conference room 529.
