ACRL officers for 1985–86

Hannelore Rader
SHARON ANNE HOGAN, director of the Troy Middleton Library, Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge, LA 70803), is the forty-eighth president of the Association of College and Research Libraries. During her one-year term of office, she will preside over the ACRL Board of Directors and the ACRL Executive Committee. She will chair the ACRL Conference Program Planning Committee for the 1986 ALA Annual Conference in New York and will plan ACRL’s major program at the conference.
As president of the division, Hogan will represent ACRL on the ALA New York Conference Program Committee and the ALA Planning and Budget Assembly. She will also represent ACRL and ALA in their relations with other organizations. Hogan has contributed to ACRL as a member of the ACRL Board of Directors, as chair of the Task Force on ACRL/ALA Relations, as chair of the Bibliographic Instruction Section (1979-1980), and as a member of the Budget and Finance Committee since 1980. She is co-founder of the journal Research Strategies.
HANNELORE B. RADER, director of the Library Learning Center at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (Kenosha, WI 53141), has been elected vice-president/president-elect of the Association of College and Research Libraries. The 1985 election results showed 1,047 votes for Rader and 969 for Thomas Kirk, college librarian at Berea College, Kentucky.
As vice-president/president-elect of ACRL, Rader will serve on the ACRL Board of Directors and the ACRL Executive Committee. She will chair the ACRL Conference Program Planning Committee for the 1987 Annual Conference in San Francisco. She will represent ACRL on the ALA Appointments Committee and the ALA Conference Program Planning Committee for the 1987 Conference. At the end of the 1986 Annual Conference she will become ACRL’s forty-ninth president.
Rader has been very active in ALA and has served as chair of the ACRL Education and Behavioral Sciences Section (1978–1979) and as a member of ALA Council (1980-1984). She currently is chair-elect of the LAMA Library Organization and Management Section and is a member of the ALA Committee on International Relations. She also edits Reference Services Review.
