Binding automation listserv
LARS-L, the listserv developed two years ago for discussion of the binding automation program LARS, has been expanded to include discussion of a proposed industry-wide software interface. This Z39.76-capable interface would provide a link between binding automation programs, such as LARS and ABLE, and library online systems, such as Voyager, Horizon, and III. Such a software link would make possible the transfer of bibliographic and binding shipment information with minimum keying.
To subscribe to LARS-L, send the e-mail message “Subscribe LARS-L [first name last name]” to Listserv@lists.ufl.edu. For more information, contact Cathleen Mook, Box 117007, George A.
