Intentional Co-Instruction: Bringing the Framework and Guidelines into Conversation for Undergraduate History Information Literacy Instruction

Abstract

In 2019, the newly appointed history subject liaison at the University of Delaware sought
a collaborator from the Special Collections Department for a three-hour history capstone
instruction session on environmental history. That initial collaboration sparked an ongoing
commitment between us, a special collections librarian and the history liaison, to provide
co-instruction sessions that introduce history students to hands-on archival research
