Abstract
Founded by a group of teachers in 1990, GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education
Network) was formed to support student-led activism and movements for LGBTQ+ rights,
spawning initiatives such as the Day of Silence and Ally Week. The organization’s website
